Skeleton Society
My skeleton prints are a product of contemporary sociology. I investigate current societal ills and re-purpose them into educational, beautiful, pieces of art. Focusing on the skeleton helps bring attention to the basic human structure & its situation, rather than a facade of appearance.

Although the human race has grown in many ways, social hurdles are still a focus of great contention. Racism, sexism, age discrimination and prejudice are all irrational opinions, based on ignorance, that are still harbored today. Because they have become a social norm, they are widely ignored. This pestilence should be ignored no longer.

People everywhere have been subjected to these inequalities, in some cases, all of their lives. My work with "Skeleton Society" brings this atrocity to the forefront. Embrace the mistakes and make a change. Change the world for the better.

Process:
Polymer Plate Photogravure
& Chine colle
Hand pulled, fine art print
When each fragment of the skeleton is placed in its appropriate sequence, it creates a life size human body.
